What makes GameGear different to other headgear?
GameGear is the only product to pass the AFL’s Advanced Football Headgear Standards, the highest headgear performance benchmark in Australian sport.
Independent crash lab testing has shown that GameGear is more than 90% more effective in reducing head acceleration than any other product on the market.
GameGear’s unprecedented results comes from its patented lattice design, built from interlocking spheres and made from a unique material that offers progressive resistance to force from any angle. The technology has been refined for over 10 years to optimise GameGear’s performance, safety and comfort.
What is the medical trial?
GameGear, in collaboration with Connectivity Traumatic Brain Injury Australia, are launching a landmark research trial on the efficacy of the GameGear helmet in reducing the incidence and/or the severity of concussion in adult athletes to validate the following:
- Determine whether the helmet reduces the incidence of concussion in athletes relative to athletes not wearing a helmet
- Determine whether the helmet reduces the severity of symptoms following concussion, relative to athletes not wearing a helmet.
GameGear will work with Australia’s major contact sports to assess its real-world effectiveness. The trial will launch in early 2026, with results expected within two years.
What sizes are available?
GameGear comes in seven different sizes from XXS - XXL.
